Danish gambling revenue up 18% in February to DKK587.1 million

The total gambling spend on betting, online casino, gaming machines and land-based casino amounted to DKK 587 million in February 2024. This corresponds to an increase of 18.3 per cent compared to February 2023.

Total betting revenue inceased by 33% to DKK177.8 million, mobile betting was up 66% to DKK124.0 million. Online betting revenue was up by 31% to DKK25.3 million.

In the online casino market, the difference between stakes and GGR is considerably greater than on the betting market, as the rate of return is also considerably greater. In 2017, the total stakes on the online casino market was DKK 45,937.7 million while GGR excluding commission was DKK 1,675.0 million, which means that stakes in this real case is 27.4 times greater than GGR.
