GameCo, Inc. to Develop New Game Based on “Vikings” and “Hang ‘Em High
Under license from MGM Interactive, GameCo, Inc. has announced the company will be developing games for its Video Game Gambling Machines (VGM™) based on the hit television drama series, “Vikings” and the legendary Western film “Hang ‘Em High.”
GameCo’s VGM is an arcade-style video game cabinet that features a single-player game adapted from top console, PC, and mobile developers. The player has a certain time limit, generally 45-90 seconds, to achieve a score and payout, which is shown on a paytable as the player progresses through the game. The VGM made history when it became the first skill game in the world to hit casino floors. GameCo currently has 30 machines placed in high traffic, prominent locations at four properties in Atlantic City, including Caesars, Harrah’s Resort, Bally’s Wild Wild West, and Tropicana Atlantic City.
While playing “Vikings,” players will be dropped into a metal clanging, action packed, sword fighting game where players lead their Viking brethren into battle for riches and glory. “Hang ‘Em High” is an arcade style shooting gallery game that combines the heritage of the classic film with updated graphics and experiences. Players must react fast to out gun the game’s villains and bring justice to the territory. The deal was brokered on behalf of GameCo by Richmond Management Group.
“We are excited work with MGM Interactive and add these two iconic titles to our collection of VGM games,” said Rich Maryyanek, head of global business development at GameCo. ‘Vikings’ and ‘Hang ‘Em High’ are known for their action sequences and will make a great addition to our diverse collection of games.”
