Amaya posts 5.9 percent rise in Q4 revenue

Amaya Inc. Has reported fourth-quarter net income of $45 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Pointe-Claire, Quebec-based company said it had net income of 23 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 53 cents per share.
The poker website operator posted revenue of $310.4 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $135.6 million, or 70 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $1.16 billion.
Amaya expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.94 to $2.13 per share, with revenue in the range of $1.2 billion to $1.26 billion.
Amaya shares have risen 8.5 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 7 percent in the last 12 months.
