Betting company Sazka can operate lotteries on the internet such as Sportka, Eurojackpot, Euromillions or jelly. Company spokesman Václav Friedmann said the information was confirmed by the Ministry of Finance (MF) that Sazka’s license has been  granted.

Obtaining a license for betting options to traditional lotteries on the Internet is an important milestone in the lottery business in the Czech Republic. The neighboring countries have been on the Internet for many years. Sazka will become the largest lottery digital company in the Czech Republic. However, the terminal network will remain a key sales place, “said Friedmann.

The market may be under the new law on gambling companies to enter foreign lotteries that have been deemed illegal. Any company, which wants to apply for a license, but must first stop operations and then pay the player, adjust the software according to the law, and only then ask the Finance Ministry for a license. Clients then must physically register at the branches CzechPoint.
