The team behind SiGMA is gearing up for the largest iGaming show Malta has ever seen and in their efforts to make this a week to remember, they have prepared a multitude of conferences covering a variety of topics in the industry. Be sure you are in the know with what’s happening the week of November 22nd-25th.

Once again, SiGMA has partnered with the iGaming Academy of Malta to host two days within the conferences. These will kick off both days in Conference Room B at the Malta Fairs & Convention Center. Wendy Zitzman, Head of Content and Training at the iGaming Academy, will begin registration at 9am before delving into the iGaming Academy Conference sessions.

On Day One, this forum will focus on Compliance Fast-track Training. Comprised of three intensive training sessions spotlighting key compliance topics affecting the igaming industry today.

Beginning at 9:30am, an Anti-Money Laundering Session will touch on current trends in the industry. This session will take a close look at the new anti-money laundering requirements, with an emphasis on risk-based approaches. They will delve into the EU 4th Directive along with a dialogue on defining what it means to be a “subject person.”

After a quick coffee break at 11am, this session will lead into Social Responsibility and its definition in the industry. Discussions on where corporate responsibility and responsible gaming requirements meet and how iGaming companies ensure compliance will then bring the session to a close.

The new General Data Protection Regulations will start the next discussion. These GDPR regulations are set to have a drastic impact on data protection requirements when they come into force next spring. The group will consider these requirements and how they will affect iGaming operators before proving an overview of what needs to be done to ensure businesses are fully ready.

Day Two will provide a free course showcase and drop-in clinic to show what the iGaming Academy has to offer. Visitors will have the opportunity to preview their most popular courses in quick 30-minute sessions covering product, compliance, acquisition and retention and management.

The first session, beginning at 9:30am will draw attention to operational focus with discussions on management skills, team performance, anti-fraud and security, and business intelligence. A focus on acquisition and retention will take place after the coffee break. The next hour and a half will target Digital Marketing, CRM, and Affiliate Marketing. Then, following the lunch break the discussion will lead to Product Focus, delving into a few major topics. The building and management of online casinos and online sportsbook will be examined along with online sportsbook trading.

To wrap up this conference, a brief overview of future plans for the iGaming Academy will present what they have in store for 2018. As this industry is constantly growing, the iGaming Academy of Malta is a solid piece of the industry’s foundation.
