William Hill has named Ruth Prior its chief financial officer to replace Philip Bowcock, who moved to the role of chief executive for the bookie earlier this month.

Prior comes to the company from payment processing firm Worldpay, where she has worked since 2013 as chief operating officer and deputy chief financial officer.

Bowcock said Prior’s experience in digital operations, online payments and finance “is all highly relevant to our strategic priorities to deliver an even better customer experience and faster growth.”
