Yggdrasil showcasing artistic talent during Inktober
Yggdrasil Gaming has its pens at the ready as the company takes part in the annual Inktober event this month as part of its ongoing commitment to promoting artistic talent.
Every October, artists all over the world take on the Inktober drawing challenge by penning one ink drawing a day for the entire month. This simple premise has since developed into a worldwide challenge which engages thousands of artists each year, from the budding talent to the proven master.
Yggdrasil is renowned for hiring the finest and most creative artists and designers to work on its games, and will use Inktober as an outlet to showcase its team’s creations to the public.
Hennie Blaauw, Creative Director at Yggdrasil Gaming, said: “Creativity is in our DNA at Yggdrasil and we are having great fun participating in this year’s Inktober.
“By showcasing what our artists are capable of, we make people aware of the dazzling array of talent we currently have at our disposal.
“Like the finest art itself, Yggdrasil offers its key creatives the chance to be original, and that has always been reflected in the games we produce.”
Aside from encouraging originality and fuelling inspiration amongst Yggdrasil’s own artists, who will be asked to create one or two pieces each, the initiative will also help them refine and perfect their skills.
Inktober was created by Jake Parker in 2009 to encourage artists from all over the world to inspire each other by creating ink drawings on different themes. The drawings can be found on social media under the hashtags #inktober and #inktober2017.
