Bet-at-home increases revenue by 8%

In the first three quarters of the 2017 financial year, the listed online sports betting and online gaming provider continued on its successful course. 

At EUR 25.4 million, EBITDA in the first nine months of the 2017 financial year continued to increase in relation to the same period of the previous year (Q1-Q3 2016: 21.3 EUR million). In the third quarter of 2017, EBITDA was EUR 8.0 million. The EBITin the first nine months of the financial year 2017 amounted to EUR 24.4 million and was thus EUR 3.9 million above the reference value of the previous year (Q1-Q3 2016: EUR 20.5 million), an increase of 19, 0% corresponds. After three quarters, earnings before taxes ( EBT ) amounted to EUR 24.9 million (Q1-Q3 2016: EUR 22.2 million).

With a betting and gaming volume of EUR 2,393.6 million in the first three quarters of 2017, gross betting and gaming revenue in the first nine months of the financial year 2017 was EUR 108.7 million, an increase of 8.3% the value of the same period of the previous year (Q1-Q3 2016: EUR 100.4 million). Since July 2017, the Group has been facing EU unlawful blocking measures in Poland, while comprehensive legal action has been taken. Nevertheless, gross betting and gaming revenues of EUR 31.9 million were achieved in the third quarter of 2017 (Q3 2016: EUR 35.0 million).

Betting and gaming fees in the first three quarters of 2017, at EUR 14.5 million, corresponded to the increase in gross betting and gaming revenues above the level of the same period of the previous year (Q1-Q3 2016: EUR 11.8 million). The VAT regulations for suppliers of electronic services within the European Union led to a negative impact on earnings of EUR 6.8 million in the first nine months of the 2017 financial year (Q1-Q3 2016: EUR 6.8 million).

Accordingly, net betting and gaming revenue increased to EUR 87.4 million (Q1-Q3 2016: EUR 81.8 million).
