Catena Media reports increasing sales in the third quarter

The affiliate company Catena Media reports increasing sales in the third quarter compared to the same period last year. Revenues totaled EUR 17.3 million, an increase of 62 percent compared with the previous year. Search revenues increased organically 29 percent.

Operating income, in turn, landed at 7.6 million euros (4.6), with an operating margin of 43.9 percent (43.0).

Catena Media writes in the report that developments in casino and sport were strong during the interim period.

“… and trends seem to last even in the fourth quarter,” writes the company’s CEO, Henrik Persson Ekdahl, under the heading “Future Outlook” in the report.

He further states that preparations for the Winter Olympics 2018 and World Cup in football are in full swing.

“We are expectant and optimistic about our strategic, operational and financial development and look forward to the new upcoming challenges that await,” he writes.

He further indicates that Pennsylvania is becoming a regulated market and that this is “one of the major opportunities in 2018”.

“Catena Media expects a gradual construction of Pennsylvania and being alive within 9-12 months”, it’s called.

Profit before tax was EUR 5.9 million (4.4). Profit after tax was EUR 5.4 million (3.9), an increase of 38 percent compared to the previous year. Earnings per share ended at 0.103 euros (0.076), which represents an increase of 36 percent compared to the previous year.
