Coljuegos has granted a license to Codere to be able to operate Sports Betting in the region, through internet, mobile and face-to-face channels. 

It will start the operation through 155 betting points, through its own network of gaming halls (CrowN Casinos, Mundo Fortuna, Fantasía Royal and Stars Casinos Games) and with third parties.

The Company advocates a game with guarantees for users and the development of a long-term sustainable industry in the country.

Codere, multinational leader of the private game, this week begins the operation of Sports Betting in Colombia through the concession of the Coljuegos regulator -for five years- that enables it to be exploited through internet, mobile and face-to-face channels, in accordance with Law 1753 of 2015 and subsequent regulations. The Company will operate this activity through the Codere Apuestas brand, which will expand its current portfolio of game rooms, bingo halls and casinos, placing it at the head of the country’s entertainment.

Codere has a long experience in sports betting, an activity that began in Mexico in 1998, with the help of local partners. In other markets of the Group, such as in Panama and Uruguay, the exploitation of bets was initially linked to racetrack management activity. Since 2006, Codere has also operated in Brazil, managing betting facilities with the main equestrian clubs in the country. At present, and under the success of Codere Apuestas, the Company leads the face-to-face market in Mexico, Spain and Panama, where it has more than 5,000 points of sale.

The wide professional trajectory in the bets and the experience of a great team (with an own department for the risk management and 24×7 support), together with the best product (with a very wide offer in sports adapted to the demands of each country), make Codere a winning bet. To all this is added the global sponsorship agreement of Codere Apuestas as the Official Gambling House of Real Madrid for three seasons, which allows the Company to have an image identity and promotional management in its different on / off line channels, own and from third parties.

In Colombia, Codere Apuestas will have a wide range of omnichannel games on the internet (www.codere.com.co), mobile telephony – through an App optimized for Android and IOS -, as well as through its in-person gaming network .

Initially, it will operate bets through 155 points in own rooms CrowN Casinos, Mundo Fortuna, Fantasía Royal, Star Casinos Games rooms operated by managing partners and third-party rooms, through 245 self-service terminals SST (tower) or next-generation selfie terminals .

Throughout the year, Codere plans to reach 264 stores and around 385 terminals. Simultaneously, the Company’s objective will be to exploit other channels authorized by Coljuegos such as bars, restaurants, hotels, fundraising services and recharges.
