Plus500 Extends Partnership with Atlético Madrid


Plus500 today announced that it has extended its sponsorship agreement with Spanish soccer team Atlético de Madrid, which will see the UK-based firm remain the La Liga outfit’s front-of-shirt sponsor for an additional three seasons – 2018/2019, 2019/2020 and 2020/2021.

Plus500 is retaining a role it has assumed for nearly three years as the online brokerage first became the Official Main Sponsor of Atlético in January 2015.

The agreement will allow Plus500 to maintain a range of branding rights as well as a host of other sponsorship benefits. Plus500 logo will feature prominently on Atletico Madrid’s official jersey and training shirts of the first team. In addition, it will have a strong brand presence at Atlético’s home, the Vicente Calderón stadium, which has a seating capacity of 68,000 people.

The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed but the original Plus500 contract has been reported to be worth more than €5 million per season.
