Svenska Spels CEO resigns
Svenska Spel announces that Lennart Käll chooses to resign as CEO of the company after almost seven years at the post.
The assignment that Lennart Käll received when he became CEO in 2011 has been completed and the transition to the upcoming gaming license market is a great opportunity to transfer responsibility for Svenska Spel to a new CEO,” he said.
Work on adapting the organization for the new gaming market is proceeding according to plan and Svenska Spel is well prepared, comments Lennart Käll.
In March 2017, the State Game Survey presented its proposal for the introduction of a licensed market in Sweden. According to the timetable, a bill for new spell legislation will be adopted in the Riksdag in June and will come into force on January 1, 2019.
Svenska Spel is facing a reorganized gaming market and new conditions. Work on adapting the organization for the new gaming market is proceeding according to plan. We are well prepared and look forward to competing on equal terms. This is a good opportunity for a new CEO to handle and continue developing Svenska Spel, says Lennart Käll about his decision.
