Sisal Entertainment Joins Global’s Italian Facing Daily Fantasy Sports Network

Global Daily Fantasy Sports, is pleased to announce that Sisalhas joined Global’s Italian facing Daily Fantasy Sports Network.

Sisal has been in business more than 70 years and has more than 14 million customers in Italy. Sisal operates in the payment and services market, gaming and betting market with a full spectrum of products in retail and online channels. Sisal has a network of more than 45,000 points of sale. Sisal is one of the top 5 operators in the Italian online sports betting market.

 Global’s Italian facing DFS network allows the opportunity for multiple Italian gaming operators to join the network and pool their user databases together to create much larger prize pool offerings and increase contest fill-rate. With Sisal joining, our Italian DFS network now has access to an additional registered user database totaling over 44 million players and will increase as more operators join the network. This user base provides the company with an opportunity to introduce DFS through its B2B partners to an existing betting audience.

In 2017, Italy generated €1.34B in online gambling revenues, a 31% increase from 2016 with online sports betting representing approximately €555M, or 41% of the total, an increase of 59% from 2016.*
