Mercury Poker acquired by Poker Nation
Indian online poker company Mercury Poker has been acquired by Poker Nation, an Essel Group company, as per a message put out on the Mercury Poker website. The message was sent out by Pranav Bathija, CEO of Mercury Poker, and he mentioned that players will not be able to log in to the website from 12th February 2018.
Bathija mentioned that both the companies are working tirelessly to ensure that it will be a seamless transition for the players playing on Mercury Poker. He also said that players will be able to log in with their same details on Poker Nation, with their current profile details, balances, loyalty points and bonuses (if any) as they were.
The website is currently down, but as per the CEO’s message, it will be back up by 14th February and all those who come to the Mercury Poker website will be redirected to https://pokernation.com/ and they will be able to login and play poker as usual. Poker Nation players, however, will have no interruption in game-play.
Launched in May 2016, Poker Nation is a fast-growing Indian poker website, owned by Fortuity Gaming Pvt Ltd (Essel Group). This acquisition could help the company grow further in India, now that they will have access to Mercury Poker’s user base as well. Interestingly, Mercury Gaming Solutions Pvt. Ltd., the company that ran Mercury Poker, is also identified to be an Essel Group company.
