Tabcorp extends wagering retail exclusivity in South Australia
Tabcorp Holdings, today announces that its wholly owned subsidiary, UBET SA Pty Ltd (UBET) has been granted an extension on the retail exclusivity for its wagering licence in South Australia. UBET’s licence expires on 30 June 2100. Under the new arrangements, which are subject to Independent Gambling Authority approval, that licence will be exclusive until the end of 2032.
UBET offers retail wagering in South Australia across approximately 350 agencies, licensed venues and racetracks.
The terms of the licence remain unchanged other than a new annual fee for the exclusivity period. Tabcorp has also secured racetrack signage and wagering partner exclusivity for all three codes of racing. The new arrangements will have an annual EBIT impact of approximately $2 million.
“We are pleased to have extended retail exclusivity for wagering in South Australia and look forward to continuing to work with the Government, our venue partners and South Australian racing on supporting a vibrant racing and wagering industry,” said Tabcorp Managing Director and CEO, David Attenborough.
Following the combination with Tatts, Tabcorp now operates a portfolio of totalisator and fixed odds licences and retail wagering networks in South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania, Australian Capital Territory and Northern Territory. Wagering products are offered in approximately 4,300 retail venues, on-course at race tracks, online, via mobile devices and through call centres.
