Scout Gaming and Metric Gaming Target U.S. Betting Market
Scout Gaming and Metric Gaming have entered into a partner agreement for a co-offering primarily targeted at the regulated US market.
The agreement provides both companies with reciprocal access to each other’s products and allows them to establish a leading global offering consisting of sports betting, fantasy sports and pool betting.
Scout Gaming and Metric Gaming have experienced an increased demand for their respective products in the US after the US Supreme Court’s ruling to suspend a federal ban on sports betting in New Jersey earlier this year, the so-called PASPA (Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992). Since fantasy sports has a long-standing heritage in the US market, it is expected to remain an important part of the gaming market going forward.
“We are experiencing interest from operators ready to launch a sportsbook offering in the United States as well as parties that have already launched,” said Scout Gaming CEO Andreas Ternström.
The partnership, which is non-exclusive, states that Metric Gaming and Scout Gaming will jointly develop new products with the ambition to coalesce sports betting and fantasy sports games. Furthermore, as part of the agreement, Metric Gaming will provide traditional sports betting products for Scout Gaming’s Betflex application.
“Metric Gaming has a world-class sportsbook which, like our platform, is based on the latest technology. Through the collaboration, a leading offer for the American market, where Metric Gaming resides, will be created. At the same time, Scout Gaming gets an even broader offering for the European market by gaining access to sports odds”, added Andreas Ternström.
“We see great potential in the partnership with Scout Gaming since our products complement each other perfectly. To come up with a full-scale offering consisting of the two best products on the market is something I believe will be nothing short of successful,” said Metric Gaming’s CEO, Martin De Knijff.
