OPAP posts profit rise

Net profit for the nine months ended 2018 stood at € 105.2 million, up 12.8% from € 93.2 million in the nine months of 2017.

Net profit for the third quarter of 2018 stood at € 39.1 million versus 43, 5 million (or 33.0 million adjusted for extraordinary income) in the corresponding period last year.

Commenting on the financial results of OPAP, CEO Damian Coop stressed that “our performance in the third quarter confirms OPAP’s steady progress towards the realization of Vision 2020. Despite the ongoing macroeconomic challenges and some sporting events – including the final of the World Cup – which were not favorable to the company, OPAP recorded strong growth in EBITDA on a comparable basis, and revenue growth on a yearly basis for the 5th consecutive quarter “.
