partypoker launches online operations in Czech Republic

Business News

Partypoker has launched online operations in the Czech Republic in partnership with King’s Resort, becoming only the second international operator to acquire an online gambling license in the country and only the second online licensed poker room.

The license agreement gives Czech players access to the site’s global liquidity dotcom poker games via its desktop software client, with games due to be rolled out across mobile in the near future.

Currently, all players wishing to play online at Partypoker in the Czech Republic are required to undergo physical ID verification, which can be carried out at various Post Offices throughout the country and which will soon be offered onsite at King’s Casino in Rozvadov.

Tom Waters, managing director of Partypoker said: “We are delighted to be working with King’s Resort to offer online poker in the Czech Republic. We have some ambitious and exciting plans for 2019 in partnership with King’s and there will be plenty on offer for Czech players at partypoker.

“We look forward to announcing a host of launch promotions and events, alongside details of our product offering in the coming weeks.”

King’s Resort owner, Leon Tsoukernik said: “It is a great honour to co-operate on such an interesting project with such an important partner on a global level for us. We will be able to offer players great connection between the online and live game to maximize their gaming experience.

“King’s Resort is home to Europe’s largest poker room and regularly hosts some of the biggest events in the world working alongside the premier brands in live poker, like the WSOPE, WPT and partypoker LIVE MILLIONS.

“This renewed partnership with partypoker further consolidates our position as a major player in the global poker industry and represents another step forward in our commitment to players.”

Partypoker will initially be available in the Czech Republic on PC and Mac.
