Degree 53 embark on UX redesign for Black Type sportsbook
Degree 53, specialists in the UX, design and software development for the online gambling industry, have announced that they have partnered with established sports betting operator, Black Type, to provide new user experience (UX) and frontend design for their sportsbook.
The company will also integrate new features with the product for enhanced betting services.
Degree 53 will begin work on redesigning the frontend of the existing Black Type sportsbook. The designers aim to enhance the user experience across different product verticals, including Sports, Casino, Live Casino and Virtuals. This will allow the operator to maximise betting opportunities, such as offering customers more relevant content and easier access to their features.
The team will enable Black Type to display their services and content more dynamically, updating it during the day, in line with ongoing events across the world of sports. Degree 53 designers will also implement personalisation features to help the operator increase engagement and offer tailored betting services to their customers.
Keith Oliver, CEO of Black Type comments: “We were very impressed with the work of Degree 53. They delivered a Discovery workshop to help us better understand our product requirements and what we would need to take it to the next level. The designers also produced wireframes based their ideas for our improved UX. We need to place a stronger emphasis on offering customers a great betting experience and usability is a big part of this. We want our target audience to come to us not only because of our competitive prices, but because they love our product and the experience it offers. I believe, together with Degree 53, we will be able to achieve that. I’m very excited to bring our concepts to life and look forward to launching them later this year.”
Andrew Daniels, managing director at Degree 53 says: “I am excited about working with Black Type and help them create a modern and slick product. We’ve been strong advocates of updating the UX across all industries, but it’s very relevant to sports betting. Operators can really add value and offer an engaging betting service by making improvements to the frontend of their products. It’s much easier to enhance the UX without going into further redevelopment, and it increases conversion and retention much quicker. Similar projects we have worked on, have demonstrated fantastic results. I’m delighted that Black Type chose to partner with us and look forward to seeing the finished designs.”
Degree 53 have a strong project portfolio and have worked with sports betting and gaming operators worldwide, such as Betfred, Penn Interactive Ventures, GVC, Island Luck and Goldchip among others. They’ve produced several Sports Betting and Gaming UX Reviews to help operators improve their products and update their usability to maximise retention.
