GIG fined $25,000 for violating local gaming laws
New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has fined the gaming services provider company, Gaming Innovation Group as it allowed a non-resident gambler to place online wagers with a licensed operator in the state.
The regulatory body has fined GIG $25,000 for violating the local gaming laws. The company allowed a player who is not from the state to place wagers with an operator licensed by the state, violating the existing regulations.
The company has conceded to the charges agreeing that they did violate the guidelines.
The DGE said the complaint was filed earlier in December last year and only after a thorough investigation the company has been fined for violating the state’s gaming regulations, without revealing as to which licensed operator was involved.
