Nektan has appointed ex-GVC Holdings director Simon Hay as new chief financial officer of the online gaming technology specialist.

Hay, who was finance transformation director at GVC from August 2017, will start in his new role on 17 June, replacing Patrick Sinclair, who earlier this year left the company after two years in the role.

Chief executive Lucy Buckley said Hay “joins us at a very exciting time for the business as we continue our rapid growth and path to sustained profitability”.

“His international expertise will be especially valuable as we expand into new emerging territories, providing leading gaming and casino brands with our technology and premium content globally.”

At GVC Hay led the integration of the finance team ahead of and following the completion of the takeover of Ladbrokes Coral Group.

He brings more than 20 years of accountancy and consultancy experience, mostly from KPMG, where he worked in the UK, Europe, USA, Australia, Asia and New Zealand and was also seconded to Thomas Cook PLC as a strategy manager in 2014 and 2015.
