Webis Holdings has renewed its contract with Hong Kong Jockey Club Horse Race Betting Ltd through its US subsidiary, WatchandWager.com LLC.

Shares in the gambling operator were up 3.7% at 1.50 pence on Wednesday.

The contract allows WatchandWager customers to continue to wager directly into the betting pools offered for races at Sha Tin and Happy Valley racecourses in Hong Kong.

WatchandWager.com has renewed the contract up to the end of July 2022, when the 2022 racing season is expected to end.

Hong Kong Jockey Club is a horse racing club that organises racing events as well as wagering services.

Webis first started its relationship with the Hong Kong Jockey Club in 2013, when WatchandWager became the first advanced deposit wagering business to be allowed to offer wagering directly into the pools for the Happy Valley and Sha Tin tracks.

“We are delighted to secure this contract extension with one of the most prestigious racing jurisdictions in the world, the Hong Kong Jockey Club. The relationship between WatchandWager and the HKJC has benefited both organizations, and we look forward to promoting their premier races to our customers for many years to come,” said Chief Executive Officer Ed Comins.
