‘Reputation Matters’ conference to address future of the gambling sector
Clear Concise Media is delighted to announce it will be hosting the conference ‘Reputation Matters: The Gambling Sector in The Spotlight’ that will take place in London on the afternoon of Thursday 7 November at the Soho Hotel, W1.
The half-day event will discuss the key issues linked to corporate and social responsibility, lobbying and public positioning for the gambling sector and will feature leading industry executives and public policy experts.
A series of keynote speeches and panels will look at various aspects of how the gambling sector approaches lobbying, how it deals with politicians, its image with the public at large and the politics of responsible gambling.
Among those speaking at the event are:
- Kenny Alexander, chief executive of GVC
- Sarah Hanratty, chief executive of Senet Group
- Sir Charles Napier, founder of lobbying group Atlas Partners
- Ian Ince, global head of regulatory affairs and compliance, Playtech
The event is being sponsored by the law firm Wiggin and investment firm Goodbody.
Stephen Ketteley, co-head of the betting and gaming group at Wiggin, said: “At a time when the gaze of lawmakers and regulators is now firmly fixed on the online side of the industry, the need for stakeholders to act in a collaborative and coordinated way is greater than it has ever been.
“As the leading legal advisors to the online sector, the team at Wiggin can play an important role in such initiatives, adding our authoritative voice where needed. We are delighted to be collaborating with Clear Concise Media, for a second year, on another flagship event which will play a positive role in building cooperation and promoting collaboration.”
The event will be chaired by Clear Concise Media founder Scott Longley, who added: “We are delighted to be bringing together such a high-quality agenda to discuss how the gambling sector can address these key challenges. We very much look forward to the high-level exchanges, ideas and discussions that will take place between all the participants.”
