Sisal wins SuperEnalotto concession
Sisal has won the tender to grant the concession for Italy’s SuperEnalotto and the other national lottery games.
After a meticulous and wide-ranging process, the Commission charged with making the decision has recognised that the best bid was put in by Sisal, the current holder of the licence to operate Italy’s most popular game. The new concession has a duration of nine years.
Sisal submitted the best technical offer, obtaining 45 points, and the best financial offer, obtaining 55 points; the conditions established by the bid include a downpayment of €222 million and a commission of 0.5%.
“I am extremely satisfied and think that Sisal is the best company to manage the SuperEnalotto concession,” said Sisal Group CEO Emilio Petrone. “This is a very important result for our Company, for its history and for all its employees, and comes after a structured process undertaken by the Italian Ministry of the Economy and Finance, the Customs and Monopolies Agency, and the Tender Commission.”
