Intralot sees biggest-ever quarterly loss

Intralot reported losses of € 27.3 million in the first half of 2019 from € 4.1 million in the same period last year.

The Group’s revenue stood at € 378.1 million (-7.6% year-on-year) and EBITDA at € 58.7 million (-15.9% year-on-year), with Adjusted EBITDA reaching € € 60.4 million (-1.8% yoy).

Group income and EBITDA declined by -0.7% and -4.4% respectively
exchange rate, compared to the corresponding period last year.

Operating cash flows in the first half of 2019 amounted to € 49.0 million, up by € 12.3 million compared to the same period last year.

Net debt stood at € 652.4 million, up by € 37.1 million as of December 31, 2018, also affected by the application of IFRS 16 accounting standard.

On June 13, 2019, the group announced the signing of a new contract with La MarocaineDes Jeux et des Sports (MDJS), the state sports betting organization in Morocco. The contract has a term of eight (8) years, with the possibility of extending an additional 2 years.

In July 2019, Intralot successfully completed the transition of its historic OPAP client to the new Lotos X Central System.

Intralot and OPAP signed a binding agreement (MOU) for the transfer to OPAP Investments Limited of Intertrot’s shares in the Greek Lottery for a price of € 20.0 million.

At the end of July 2019, the group announced the renewal of its existing contract with the Washington DC Lottery for 5 years with the option of extending it for another 5 years, with the addition of sports betting.
