The Swedish regulated gaming market had sales of SEK 5.9 billion during the third quarter

Business News

Net turnover in the regulated Swidish gaming market amounted to SEK 5,895 million during the third quarter of 2019.

The data, which is largely based on data from the Swedish Tax Agency on decided tax, is preliminary and will be adjusted further in the future.

92 companies had active licenses for the Swedish market in October 2019 (licenses for non-profit purposes not included).

There is no actual information on how much is played at gaming companies without a Swedish license. H2 Gambling Capital estimates that during the third quarter of 2019, it was played for between SEK 500 – 600 million (after paid profits) from companies outside the Swedish licensing system.

In that case, this would mean that between 85 – 87 percent of all gambling in the competitive commercial online gambling and betting industry took place at gaming companies with a Swedish license.
