Danske Spil is now launching ten suggestions on how to regulate the gambling industry.

Among other things, advertising games in sporting events must be prohibited. It must also stop using famous people in game advertising.
In addition, it should no longer be legal to offer game bonuses that lure people into quick deposits.

We just have to note that this is simply not good enough at the moment.
“We need to take active steps across the industry to ensure a proper and responsible gaming market,” says Stine Hove Marsling, Director of Accountability at Danske Spil.

In seven years, the number of gambling advertising has almost been three times as many and lures both young and old. The most recently available annual report from the Danish Games Authority shows that Danish players lost DKK 9.7 billion to the providers in 2018.

At the Center for Ludomani, center manager Michael Bay Jørsel is pleased with the proposals. A comprehensive package from a large provider like Danske Spil may finally help move in the field, he says.

I think there is a momentum in the political winds blowing towards regulation on, for example, advertising games.

Now the Minister for Taxation (Morten Bødskov (Social Security) convenes a meeting in the spring, and There I have to assume that changes will be made, says Michael Bay Jørsel. It is the provider Unibet who uses Brian Laudrup in his commercials, to which Michael Bay Jørsel refers.

Kindred Group, did not wish to comment before an industry meeting due on Wednesday Minister for Taxation Morten Bødskov (Social Com/L) welcomes the proposals. He says the government shares the ambitions to overcome the problems.

Some of the initiatives are already part of the government’s deliberations and will also be included in the negotiations I will later have with the parties to the agreement in the field of games, Morten Bødskov writes in a written comment on Ritzau.
