Just in time for the 2020 PLAYERS Championship, DraftKings is debuting its “Tiers” product for the first time ever in daily fantasy golf.

The new game variant has the same scoring system as our Classic product but differs in draft style.

Tiers contests allow users to create a lineup by selecting players assigned to specific Tiers—valid lineups include one player from each Tier.

The five Tiers will group players based on rating and golf style and eliminate salary cap restrictions for a fun and more casual experience.

The contest goes live March 12 and runs through the tournament’s March 15 conclusion.

This introduction of Tiers for this week’s PLAYERS marks the beginning of a platform-wide rollout for all future DraftKings daily fantasy golf contests, a sport category that continues at a meteoric growth rate. Tiers looks to build on the over 26 million DraftKings daily fantasy golf entries in 2019 alone.
