Svenska Spel becomes the first company in Sweden to offer its customers payments via Swish. First out is Svenska Spel Tur, while Svenska Spel Sport & Casino introduces the same function shortly.

“For example, if you win a coin at Lotto on Saturday night, you no longer have to wait for several banking days to get your winnings. You can take them out right away and celebrate a little if you like! It is great fun that we can offer our customers this opportunity, ”says Ingela Karlsson, responsible for Spelkonto, Product and Service Development at Svenska Spel Tur.

Svenska Spel Sport & Casino will also introduce the same function shortly. In practice, this means that all Swiss-connected customers at Svenska Spel Tur or Svenska Spel Sport & Casino can withdraw money from their gaming account as easily and smoothly as they deposit. The money goes directly into the bank account that the customer has connected to Swish.

Swish is indirectly owned by a number of major Swedish banks – including Handelsbanken, Swedbank and Nordea. It is Svenska Spel’s collaboration with Handelsbanken that has incorporated the gaming company into the project.

“Today, it always takes time to get money back,” says Rickard Wahlin. “For example, if you return a clothing item to a store, it will take 3-4 days before you have money back in your account. What Swish does now change everything. Soon, real-time transactions will be a fact in every situation. “

In the long term, we can expect that many more Swedish companies will offer this solution, but Svenska Spel is thus first out.

“You can sum it up as Sweden is at the forefront here and that Svenska Spel is at the forefront in Sweden,” says Rickard Wahlin  customer service manager, “But for us, it’s just about making it as easy as possible for our customers.”
