After shutting down mid-season due to the coronavirus pandemic, the NBA has approved a plan to resume the season in late July.

The top nine teams from the Eastern Conference and the top 13 teams from the Western Conference will live and compete at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Disney World in Orlando, Fla., with limited contact with outsiders.

Eight teams were left out based on their standings when Commissioner Adam Silver halted play on March 11 after multiple players had tested positive for COVID-19.

The board of governors voted 29-1 to approve the plan, according to ESPN, and the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) is also expected to grant its approval.
