FDJ ParsionsSport extends sponsorship with Olympique de Marseille and Olympique Lyonnais

Business News

French betting operator FDJ has extended its sponsorship of Olympique de Marseille (OM) and Olympique Lyonnais (OL).

Sports betting is a market with strong development potential, the practice of which is becoming more democratic in France. The FDJ Group made 3.5 billion euros in sports betting in 2019, an increase of 16%. It is therefore natural that ParionsSport intends to continue and strengthen its partnerships with OM and OL.

ParionsSport will be present this season on the front of the new Olympique de Marseille jersey, on the right shoulder, for all Ligue 1 matches. Olympique de Marseille is a team highly acclaimed by punters; OM’s league matches are also the ones that generated the most wins over all the matches of the 2019/2020 season.

ParionsSport will also continue to stimulate the Lyon betting community, in particular with the possibility of betting directly inside the Groupama Stadium. The brand’s visibility in the stadium will be enhanced, as will the hospitality program to welcome the most loyal punters to the stadium.

These partnerships offer the FDJ sports betting brand great visibility in the sports arenas of the two clubs, with their supporters, throughout the season. A digital and event-based entertainment program will create proximity for the brand and in particular offer VIP seats to attend matches.

For Stéphane Pallez, CEO of the FDJ group: “  FDJ, through its sports betting brand ParionsSport, is proud to renew its partnerships with Olympique de Marseille and Olympique Lyonnais for two seasons. The Group thus reaffirms its commitment to professional football. The large communities of supporters of these two clubs are present throughout the country, as are FDJ and its thirty thousand points of sale. “

For Jacques Henri-Eyraud, President of Olympique de Marseille: “We are very happy to renew and intensify our collaboration with FDJ via its ParionsSport brand, whose logo will now be present on the Olympique de Marseille jersey. This extension and strengthening of our partnership is a strong sign in the current economic context, a guarantee of the quality of the relationship that we have been able to build over the past two years. “

For Jean-Michel Aulas, President of OL Groupe:  “Olympique Lyonnais is pleased to renew this partnership with FDJ, a major player in sports betting. It is part of the continued collaboration between our two brands that began in 2016 at Groupama Stadium. We are developing innovative partnerships, with the establishment of physical ParionsSport points of sale in lounges and stadium spaces, as well as digital activation systems, notably with the Groupama Stadium mobile application. “
