5 Star iGaming Media talked to Miguel Micallef, Slots Product Manager at Betsoft, to discuss its latest release Primal Hunt, the challenges facing the slots industry and what future trends he sees emerging.

Tell us about your recent release Primal Hunt?

It was released 24^th September and has been a complete hit with our players. Primal Hunt has a dark prehistoric ‘quest for riches’ theme and is a fantastic looking game. From the beginning, it exudes action and adventure. Players go on a thrilling journey to the Cave Lions’ lair, winning an arsenal of weapons and magic symbols to aid their quest. It is designed to challenge skills and nerves and Primal Hunt will trigger your hunting instinct – for big wins!

What are Primal Hunt’s strengths as a slot game?

This slot has a relatively high volatility and offers a very generous max win factor of more than 4400x your bet. Primal Hunt also offers Betsoft’s trademark cinematic quality animations and a spine tingling soundtrack to create a fantastic atmosphere. What game trends do you think we’ll see in the forthcoming year?

In view of the real need to create differentiation as mentioned, and in response to an increasingly sophisticated audience, we expect the slot experience to become gradually deeper and a more experiential offer. This can mean a more involved narrative in the theme, as well as newer features and mechanics. These trends will be influenced by other forms of digital gaming as the crossover between gaming and gambling becomes stronger.
