Helio Gaming Granted license by The Malta Gaming Authority

Features

Malta-based lottery provider Helio Gaming has been awarded a B2B software licence from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) enabling it to roll out its cutting-edge content within the rapidly growing jurisdiction. Keith Galea CEO tells us more.

Can you tell us more about your new MGA license?

We are delighted in obtaining the MGA B2B License since it gives testament that we aim for a golden standard, and we  give peace of mind to our partners that what we offer is regulated and has undergone proper due diligence on the business and the people involved. This improves the credibility of what we do, and we are very excited to be able to offer lottery and number games with life-changing amounts to our partners and their players.

How would you sum up the first six months of the year from a lottery games point of view?

The business has undergone quite a number of changes from just developing software to pivoting to a more commercial company that offers solutions to our partners. We have created various custom lotteries and number games for our partners that fits their market and strategic direction. We do not just offer our standard games, but these custom new games helps various operators diversify from their competition.

Lottery and casino gaming are more closely linked than ever before, why is this?

Lottery is a complementary product for most operators that focus mainly on casino or sportsbook players. It gives the operator a tool for retention and re-activation to be able to extend the life-time value of a player on their brands. We have seen also companies that have individual lottery/number games sites and casino sites, where they cross-sell the players for their own different brands, which does increase the life-time value within their businesses.

We have also created a unique new product a few months ago with our partners at Spinmatic called Spinalott which is a lotto/slot hybrid, and we are excited to start seeing some partners activating the game over the next couple of weeks.

Things are looking great for Helio Gaming right now. What are your plans for 2021?

At Helio we are trying to bring lottery and number games to a wider audience, and our solutions are easy to deploy, quick and user-friendly that we can serve various different kinds of partners looking for lottery solutions. Our plan is to continue attracting partners with our MGA license providing the necessary piece of mind.

We are also targeting partners in emerging markets by bringing our cutting-edge technology and solutions to them and modernising their offering, both for online operators, and also national or state-run lotteries that want a solution-oriented partner to help them focus and expand their business instead of working within the restrictions of archaic software and old solutions.
