Sazka Group continues to expand its team ahead of the UK National Lottery license competition.

Brent Hoberman will join the group’s “advisory board” to win the lottery license, chaired by former Sainsbury’s CEO Plc, Justin King. Recognized as one of the UK’s most successful digital entrepreneurs, Hoberman is the founder of the travel site Lastminute.com. 

After selling it to US firm Saber in 2005 for a billion pounds, Hoberman has continued to partner with UK start-ups and government agencies. “Brent’s experience and entrepreneurial mentality will allow us to focus our offer on digital innovation, ensuring that the National Lottery can rapidly integrate new technologies. 

With Brent on board, Sazka will be a proactive operator who incorporates technology to enhance the digital experience while always protecting the players, ”Mills explained. “There is a need for a National Lottery and one that is technologically sound and accessible to a diverse audience, who are used to using many entertainment channels.
