Ladbrokes launch new campaign featuring Mark Wahlberg

Australians are about to see even more of Mark Wahlberg on their screens. The Hollywood icon will be unveiled as the face of Ladbrokes’ new brand campaign.

Wahlberg the star of movies such as Patriots Day and Te, flew to Australia late last year for filming after agreeing to partner with the betting company.

He completed 14 days of quarantine in Byron Bay before fronting the cameras for a campaign that spruiks messages about player protection and responsible gambling the first of its kind in Australia.

The campaign was shot over five days in December and sees Wahlberg take on a different role to the ones that have made him famous in Tinseltown.

Playing Ladbrokes’ new Chief Entertainment Officer “Mike Iceberg”, he coins the term “Ladbroke It”, which is all about ramping up the excitement around sports betting and horse racing.
