Sky Bet gives staff £14m in shares for work during pandemic

Sky Betting & Gaming has given its staff a gift of shares as a reward for their work during the pandemic.

A spokesman for Flutter confirmed a report in the Sunday Telegraph that it handed its 14,000 staff a £1,000 bonus for helping to steer the business through the coronavirus pandemic.

Peter Jackson, Group CEO of Flutter said: “To recognise the hard work, focus and resilience over the course of an incredibly challenging year, we recently gifted all colleagues a share award worth £1,000 giving them a stake in the business.”

In December Sky Bet announced the completion of the east end of the companies new Wellington Place office development. The company currently occupies space in both 2 and 6 Wellington Place, but the new building will provide access to office space across eight floors, as well as a host of exclusive building benefits including a south facing roof terrace overlooking Tower Square, basement parking and secure cycle space, plus shower and changing facilities. The building will provide Sky Bet with 134,000 sq.
