Tombola posts 15% revenue rise

Online bingo operator tombola has reported an increase in revenue to £120.1m up 15% from £104.4m in the previous year as the group continues to thrive and grow its market share across the UK and Europe.

The groups net profit before tax reduced to £12.0m for the year, as the business continues to invest in new territories. Tombola is Europe’s largest online bingo firm, creating and developing bingo software and games from its UK base, with additional offices in Gibraltar, Milan and Madrid.

The firm recently moved settled into new 25,000sq ft offices which have been designed by Newcastle’s Ryder Architecture and built by Sunderland-based Brims Construction, incorporating both old and new buildings. The average number of employees in the year increased from 421 to 531, considerably increasing the wages bill from £11.8m to £15.4m.
