FanDuel extends Scientific Games partnership to Tennessee and Michigan

Sports Betting

Scientific Games has bolstered its long-standing partnership with FanDuel Group by going live with its sports betting technology in the top-performing states of Tennessee and Michigan.

The twin launch adds significant weight to a relationship between Scientific Games and Flutter Entertainment that spans 20 years, as well as strengthen both companies’ foothold in two key markets. Tennessee formerly held the record as the quickest state to reach the landmark of generating $1 billion in GGR, hitting that figure inside six months following market liberalisation in November 2020.

The same benchmark was then reached by Michigan after only four months of legalized sports betting in the Mitten State last month, according to market analysts.

FanDuel is now live with OpenSports technology in six states. Players in Colorado, Illinois, Indiana and West Virginia are already benefiting from the industry leading sports betting platform, with additional states planned for the remainder of the year. OpenSports has a proud history of repeatedly performing at the highest levels during the biggest sporting events across the globe, with 100% uptime experienced by US operators throughout key sporting fixtures this year.

As well as powering FanDuel’s offering, OpenSports lies at the heart of Flutter Entertainment brands around the world, including market leaders such as Betfair, Sky Bet and Paddy Power in Europe and Sportsbet in Australia.
