GAN to open new office in Miami
GAN is opening a new technology hub in Miami, Florida’s Wynwood District. The company hopes to grow its Miami-based workforce to approximately 100 colleagues over the next few years.
“There’s a resource pool here of high-quality engineering talent that is, of course, sought after by lots of different companies. We know that Miami is an emerging technology hub,” said Dermot Smurfit, President & CEO of GAN. “Wynwood is an incredibly creative, high-energy environment for developers of all kinds. It’s the art district, it’s an unbelievably vibrant Latin-American cultural center point, and you’ve got a wide range of amenities to keep the forthcoming ‘GANsters’ here at Wynwood engaged and retained.”
Wynwood is an eclectic district in the urban core of Miami, Florida. It is home to art galleries, retail stores, antique shops, bars, artisanal eateries, and one of the largest open-air street-art installations in the world. Wynwood is recognized globally as a premier destination for art, fashion, innovation, and creative enterprise. It is one of the largest and most prominent creative communities in the United States and where a new generation of creatives and entrepreneurs want to live, work, eat, play, and learn.
“We’re on the east coast, so we’re in the right place to produce for America while also working closely with Europe; they’re our other tech hubs,” commented Michael Endres, Director – Product Solutions for GAN. “We want to be a U.S. center of excellence. We want to be able to develop, deploy, and, most importantly, massively improve our platform.”
“We’re looking at starting with 20 people,” said Krista Pappas, Senior Director – Global Human Resources for GAN. “The plan is that at some point we’ll get that number to 50-60 and, from there, the sky’s the limit.”
