Playmaker acquires The Props Network

M&A

Playmaker has announce the acquisition of TPN Media Group, publisher of PropsHQ.com, “The Props Network” and related assets, a creator agency and podcast network focused primarily on the online sports gambling industry in North America.

The Props Network co-founder Kyle Piasecki is named Vice President of Partnerships in the move.

The acquisition of The Props Network, which was founded in January 2020, supports Playmaker’s growth strategy of rapidly expanding its ‘top of funnel’ acquisition channels, enhancing its Playmaker Betting brand through increased partnerships with U.S. gambling companies, non-endemic sponsors, and affiliate relationships. The Props Network publishes U.S. bookmaker reviews, sports, and sports gambling insights in addition to creator-driven content from its podcast network, which helps educate sports betting consumers and provide them with more entertainment value.

Piasecki is an experienced Casino Marketing, Partnerships, and Operations leader, spending a majority of his gaming career with Caesars Entertainment managing VIP departments and customer relationships in both land-based casinos and managing i-gaming operations before launching The Props Network. He has also served as a consultant and investor for a number of gambling, tech, and blockchain companies, including CashBet.

“Kyle and his team have developed a unique approach to what today’s media networks should be by providing value to creators, consumers, and gambling industry partners alike,” said David Woodley, President & CRO at Playmaker. “The acquisition of The Props Network and bringing Kyle on board to our team gives Playmaker additional digital channels and strategic insights in the U.S. gambling market via affiliate, podcasts and more.”

“Playmaker is a demonstrated leader in multiple sports, media, and entertainment verticals,” added Piasecki. “I cannot think of a better home for PropsHQ.com and our team. The two organizations complement each other very well and I look forward to working with the Playmaker team to roll out new initiatives that engage fans and support creators.”
