AZ is exchanging AFAS Software after twelve years for the online gambling company Kansino as the main sponsor on the shirt, the club announced on Monday. The new main sponsor has committed itself to the club from Alkmaar until mid-2026.

Kansino is an online casino where visitors can play gambling and was one of the first to receive a license from the Dutch government. The company is now the first online gambling provider to be associated with an Eredivisie club as the main sponsor

“Kansino is a modern and ambitious company, which, like us, is enormously motivated to continue to grow,” says general manager Robert Eenhoorn on the club site about the collaboration with Kansino, which is registered in Malta and part of parent company Play North. Limited.

It is unclear how much the Alkmaar club will have left over from the collaboration, but according to Eenhoorn, the club is improving anyway. “This collaboration lays a solid foundation for the future and gives AZ the space to take another step in its ambitions.”

The Alkmaar Zaanstreek Foundation will be sponsored on shirts for fans under the age of eighteen. “With this joint initiative, we can support several social goals. What initiatives these are will be presented in the short term,” said Eenhoorn.
