Danke Spil secure live streaming deal with Danish football league

Business News

Danske Spil ensure that Danes will in future have the opportunity to stream the many football matches in both the 2nd and 3rd Division at Danske Spil.

Now Danske Spil, in collaboration with the Divisionsforeningen, is launching a new initiative to bring the less exposed football leagues closer to the Danes. It is a fact, after the Divisionsforeningen and Danske Spil signed a cooperation agreement a short time ago, which allows streaming of 2nd and 3rd Division matches on Danske Spil’s Oddset platform.

Until now, it has been possible to stream the matches via the Divisionsforeningen’s website. All Danes now have the opportunity to also follow their local heroes in Oddset’s app.

“We at Danske Spil are very happy to be able to help bring division football even closer to the Danes and ensure that the games are widely accessible. With the agreement, we hope to be able to give the lower divisions a boost, and at the same time share the infectious enthusiasm that also pervades the football ranks, where both money and stadiums are slightly less than in, for example, the 3F Superliga. We believe and hope that football fans all over the country will welcome the new initiative, and will watch when things go down in the lower ranks,” says Karsten Fogh Holanng, CEO of Danske Licens Spil, which stands behind Oddset.

Part of a larger platform At Oddset, the division matches become part of an already popular user interface, where many of Danske Spil’s customers take advantage of the opportunity to watch several other sports live. Thousands of users watch Oddset’s many live streamings of e.g. football, tennis and basketball – and it is expected that even more will follow when two more Danish football series become part of the offer.

The Divisionsforeningen is happy about the collaboration with Danske Spil.
