For the first time in a month, weekly betting handle did fall, but only slightly. It dropped from just over $200 million to $194 million. Most operators saw relatively steady numbers from week to week but dipped slightly in general.
Total revenue has been steady over the past month with over $20 million earned weekly. Similar to handle, revenue finally dipped slightly to below $19.6 million. PointsBet saw one of its better weeks by nearly hitting $1 million in revenue. That hasn’t happened since the week ending on March 20.
The fact that the Mets and Yankees are vying for playoff spots helps, as does the New York Liberty in the WNBA playoffs. Futures betting increases, and some people even bet on the NFL preseason.
