Fanatics readies US sports betting launch

Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin said Tuesday at the Sports Business Journal/CAA World Congress of Sports, the business will to go live with its mobile sportsbook in January, and expects to have a presence in more than 15 states by the time the next NFL campaign kicks off.

The company appears to be fully prepared to build its own independent operation and has more than 100 employees at the helm.

Fanatics currently has a $20 billion valuation and has grown into a merchandising juggernaut. Thanks to licensing deals with all four major U.S. pro sports as well as the NCAA and Major League Soccer, Fanatics has positioned itself as the go-to for all your fan gear needs.
