The Norwegian Lottery Authority asks Norsk Tipping to cut at least 60 million in advertising.

The reason is that the Norwegian Lottery Authority believes that Norsk Tipping has not adjusted down the scope of its marketing activities to a sufficient extent in accordance with the requirements of the Gambling Regulations.

The Norwegian Lottery Authority therefore asks Norsk Tipping to reduce its total marketing as a result of the abolition of the illegal gambling advertising on TV, the Norwegian Lottery Authority writes in the letter. Norsk Tipping is a government-owned limited company that holds exclusive rights to a number of games being offered in Norway.
