Missouri House approves sports wagering

A Missouri sports betting bill has been “perfected” by members of the state’s House of Representatives

The proposal in House Bill 556 which would bring up to 45 sportsbook apps to Missouri, with revenue taxed at 10 percent passed by a first-round voice vote in the lower chamber Monday night.

The Missouri Senate Appropriations Committee heard two bills that would legalize and tax sports gambling allowing Missourians to place bets on major sporting events.
