Arkansas sports betting revenue up 25%

Arkansas legalized mobile sports betting on July 1, 2019. This means it is now possible to play college sports betting, MLB sports betting, and NBA sports betting in the state. In January 2023, Arkansas generated a total of  $29.5m U.S. dollars from sports betting.

The third Arkansas casino, Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort, anticipates launching a sports betting mobile app in August. Oaklawn already has a mobile app, Oaklawn Anywhere, for bettors wanting to wager on horse races. Arkansas took in $583,000 in tax revenue from sports betting in 2020 and $1.2 million in 2021.
