LeoVegas has appointed former Dario Poiese as director of Italy and the rest of the world.

Posting on LinkedIn Dario said: Last week I left Catena Media after 5 fantastic years and, at the same time, I left the Superscommesse – Asap Italia – Catena Media Italia team after 12 years of passion.

Since the day of the announcement of this news, I have been overwhelmed with affection for what I have probably been lucky enough to have been able to sow all this time. The point, and the reason for this post, is that I have received much more than I have been able to give, and that is a wonderful thing for which I would like to say thank you. 

I would like to thank those who raised me, those who welcomed me, those who listened to me, those who stood up to me, those who challenged me, those who made me better, those who made me realise that I still have a long way to go, those who were always there and those who were just passing through.

I always like to leave a few scattered remarks: Give your team a chance to grow, help them with direction, but give them room to develop. The fruits will be unexpected. Leaving is a learning experience, you learn a lot from others and you put yourself at the service of the team, trying to ensure the best possible future.

Do not save appreciation and compliments for when it is too late. You could change people’s careers. It has been a wonderful journey and it has come to an end with bright eyes and smiles.
