FanDuel expands Breeders’ Cup streaming deal

As the countdown to the 40th Breeders’ Cup World Championships on November 3-4 from Santa Anita begins, FanDuel TV is expanding its coverage of the event, the network announced today.

The pre-entry announcement show will showcase which runners are pre-entered into each Breeders’ Cup Championship race and will air on Wednesday, October 25th at 9:00 a.m. PT/12:00 p.m. ET. The coverage will be hosted by Joaquin Jaime and Christina Blacker live from Santa Anita. Breeders’ Cup will finalize the race order for both Friday and Saturday once pre-entries are complete.

The show will run from Friday, October 27th through Thursday, November 2nd and air live on Breeders’ Cup digital and social channels as well as on the FanDuel Racing channel from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET daily. It will feature contenders going through their final preparations as well as the latest news and developments. Todd Schrupp, Simon Bray, Caton Bredar, Michelle Yu, Rishi Persad, Scott Hazelton, Joaquin Jaime and Andie Biancone will be live on-site at Santa Anita, Keeneland and Churchill Downs to capture all the contenders.

A special recap will air daily on FanDuel TV from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. ET featuring highlights from the Breakfast Show as well as live hits from Santa Anita with Britney Eurton, Christina Blacker and Dubbs Anderson. Replays will be available on-demand on FanDuel+ and TVG’s YouTube page.

FanDuel TV will broadcast The Players’ Show, a live, wagering-focused telecast, on November 3 and 4 on FanDuel TV. Every Breeders’ Cup race will air live on the Players’ Show, with the exception of the Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic. It will also be simulcast at tracks, simulcast centers and off-track betting venues around the world.

For the first time, Breeders’ Cup is carding two of its championship races after the Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic (post time 6:45 ET). FanDuel TV will be the exclusive linear broadcast partner for both races, the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint and the $2 million Qatar Racing Breeders’ Cup Sprint on the main track.

“The Breeders’ Cup is always a highlight on the racing calendar and one of the biggest weekends of the year for our audience and we are excited to be expanding our coverage for the 40th running,” said Kevin Grigsby, FanDuel TV Executive Producer. “Racing fans can count on wall-to-wall coverage from Pre-Entry till the last race on Saturday.”

The FanDuel Group is an official sponsor of the Breeders’ Cup and the title sponsor of the $2 million FanDuel Breeders’ Cup Juvenile presented by the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA) and the $2 million FanDuel Breeders’ Cup Mile presented by the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (PDJF). Since 2020, FanDuel has raised awareness for its primary charitable partners, including them in winner’s circle presentations at the Breeders’ Cup and will again be joined by representatives of the PDJF and the TAA.
