New York Becomes First State To Top $2 Billion In Monthly Handle

Finance News

New York set a new record and became the first U.S. market to generate a monthly handle of $2 billion. The historical figure was fueled by the NFL, college football, NHL, NBA, and MLB all colliding in the same month.

The state also has the chance to set a new state record for revenue for the second consecutive month, as mobile revenue totaled $166.3 million, resulting in a hold of 8.3%.

The figure is currently $506,000 shy of the $166.8 million in combined winnings from mobile and retail sportsbooks in September.
